Our service

Is “in the cloud”, meaning that we take on responsibility for hosting your system. There are no system requirements at your end, apart from a good connection to the internet. Your system resides in a secure, UK based data centre.

Implementing TARGETconnect is therefore a straightforward and well-rehearsed process. GTI will appoint a project manager who will advise and assist you in the implementation of TARGETconnect, staff training and will remain on-hand once the system is live.

Data integration

You provide us with core data and we integrate it fully and securely with your own version of TARGETconnect. These data and any data recorded subsequently resides in a TARGETconnect database owned by you.

Single sign on

TARGETconnect provides access to the system for students and staff using a fully secure authentication process. Students and staff then have access to TARGETconnect just like any other university system. Their data is contained in their own secure portal. No password details ever leave the safety of your own secure servers.

Change management

We have extensive experience of process analysis and re-engineering. The GTI project manager will work with you to look at how your processes would benefit by being managed through TARGETconnect.

System configuration

TARGETconnect is a highly configurable system. Our project manager will help you in its set-up, including the definition of users and permissions for staff and the access controls for students, employers and other user groups.


We provide staff training, either on site or via web session. The training will be tailored to your individual use of TARGETconnect. This training is supported by the User Resources section of our website, Quick User Guides and regular training Webcasts.

Maintenance and support

Once you have gone live with TARGETconnect you have access to Maintenance and Support services either through our website or by calling our UK based dedicated telephone support. You can also submit enhancement requests which are prioritised by all user institutions via our highly inclusive and effective User Group that meets twice a year.


If there are specific changes you would like to make to the system then these can be achieved through commissioning bespoke work by our UK based programming team.
